The nominees for the 6th Annual ScreenAge Wasteland Awards have been announced!
Last month, the SAW team submitted nominees for the best films of 2024. A lot of films and performances were submitted, but at the end of the day, there can only be five nominees per category (and 10 for Best Picture, Best Character, and Best Moment).
Any 2024 movie released on streaming, television, or in theaters was eligible as long as the film was widely released by mid-January 2025 (to take into consideration late-December limited releases). That means that we have declared films like The Brutalist and Nickel Boys as 2025 releases and they will be eligible for next year’s SAWards.

Dune: Part Two and Nosferatu were the most nominated films this year with 12 and 11 nominations, respectively. The Substance took third place with 9 nominations, followed by Challengers with 7 nominations. Anora, Rebel Ridge, and Wicked rounded out the top five (or seven in this case) with 5 nominations each.

A shout-out should also be given to Yura Borisov, Katy O’Brian, and Lily-Rose Depp for each snagging two acting nominations.
