Sinners amassed 16 Oscar nominations this morning, the most for any movie in history — topping the previous record shared by 1950’s All About Eve and 2016’s La La Land. However, One Battle After Another wasn’t far behind with 13 nominations.
There were other surprises, including a few major snubs, such as Wicked: For Good being shut out completely for recognition.
The 98th Academy Awards, hosted by Conan O’Brien, will be held on March 15, 2026.
