Disney has pushed back its entire fall theatrical slate to 2021. All that remains now in 2020 is a few 20th Century Studios films. As well, Disney has shuffled a few MCU films, and at a different studio, Sony has delayed Connected to an undetermined date in 2020.
Instead of running them down one by one, here’s just a handy list in bullet form:
- The Empty Man (October 23, 2020)
- Death on the Nile (December 18, 2020)
- The King’s Man (February 12, 2021)
- Black Widow (May 7, 2021)
- Shang-Chi (July 9, 2021)
- Deep Water (August 13, 2021)
- Eternals (November 5, 2021)
- West Side Story (December 10, 2021)
As you can, Disney has kept two 20th Century films in 2020 (and even moved The Empty Man up a couple months). Disney still has Pixar’s Soul scheduled for November, which some industry insiders expect may become the next Disney+ Premiere Access film after Mulan.
Meanwhile, Sony has delayed Connected from October 23, 2020 to an undisclosed date later this year.
