Marvel Studios’ Blade reboot starring Mahershala Ali was just hit with some more bad news.
Per Deadline, Disney has removed the superhero movie from its 2025 release schedule. A new release date was not announced at this time. Blade was previously scheduled to open in theaters on November 7, 2025, a spot that has now been occupied by 20th Century Studios‘ Predator: Badlands.
Dan Trachtenberg, who directed the previous Predator movie Prey, is back for Badlands, which will be the sixth mainline entry in the long-running sci-fi franchise. Badlands will be the first Predator movie since 2018’s The Predator to receive a theatrical release. Prey, arguably the best Predator movie since the original, is the only installment to go straight to streaming, premiering on Hulu to critical acclaim in 2022.
Additionally, three untitled Marvel movies have been dated for theatrical release on February 18, 2028, May 5, 2028, and November 10, 2028.
Do you think Blade will ever see the light of day? Excited for a new Predator movie?
