Netflix has just released a couple trailers for Noah Baumbach‘s upcoming drama film Marriage Story. Watch Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver tell their sides of their broken marriage below.
These are a couple of teasers that land with an emotional punch. They build up to the divorce reveal by highlighting everything one admires about the other. I hope they keep this differing perspective angle for the rest of the marketing. Netflix is on to something with it.
That said, I just don’t buy Johansson or Driver as parents. They just look too bloody young. Especially Driver. When I look at him, all I can think about is Kylo Ren. Johansson can rock a Mom cut though.
