Two more acclaimed actors have boarded Secret Invasion, the latest Marvel Studios project entering production.
Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) and Olivia Colman (The Crown) are both in final negotiations to appear in the upcoming Disney Plus series.
Both roles are remaining undisclosed at this time, but the two would join Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, and Kingsley Ben-Adir if cast. Jackson and Mendelsohn are reprising their MCU roles of Nick Fury and the Skrull Talos. Ben-Adir will play the main villain.
Secret Invasion will follow “a group of shape-shifting aliens who have been infiltrating Earth for years.” It will be a loose adaptation of the comic book event of the same name. Marvel head Kevin Feige previously stated that the series would tap into “the paranoia elements of the Secret Invasion comic series that was great with the twists and turns.”
