Mary Elizabeth Winstead Joins ‘Star Wars: Ahsoka’

Mary Elizabeth Winstead is heading to a galaxy far, far away.

The actress has joined Ahsoka, the next Star Wars live-action series in the Lucasfilm production pipeline for Disney+.

Winstead’s character information is being kept under wraps at the moment. Plot details are also unknown for the series, but it will focus on Jedi Knight survivor Ahsoka Tano and will be set after the character’s appearance on season 2 of The Mandalorian.

Rosario Dawson is returning as Ahsoka after playing the character in her live-action debut in The Mandalorian. Hayden Christensen is also part of the cast, reprising his role of Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader for the series.

Ivanna Sakhno and Natasha Liu Bordizzo are also on the cast list. Sakhno will be playing a new character while Bordizzo will step into the role of Sabine Wren, a character that originated on the animated series Star Wars Rebels.

Production on Ahsoka is slated to begin this spring in California. We’ll keep you posted as more casting and information on the series is released.
