20th Century Studios has released a new official trailer for Deep Water, an erotic psychological thriller based on the Patricia Highsmith novel of the same name. Let’s take a look.
I’m intrigued, but I cannot get past the fact that Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas were dating when they made this and are now no longer together. Something about the whole thing feels weird. It feels like an almost too personal look into their own relationship. Oh well, I’m sure I’ll get over this. It’s coming to streaming, so you know I’ll give it a watch eventually.
Plot Synopsis:
Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas star in the psychological thriller Deep Water from director Adrian Lyne (Fatal Attraction). Based on the celebrated novel by famed mystery writer Patricia Highsmith (The Talented Mr. Ripley), Deep Water takes us inside the marriage of picture-perfect Vic (Affleck) and Melinda (de Armas) Van Allen to discover the dangerous mind games they play and what happens to the people that get caught up in them.
