New ‘Onward’ Trailer Puts A Spell On You

Pixar has just released a new trailer for its upcoming animated film Onward and based on I just saw, this film is definitely not what I expected based on the first trailer.

Ok fine, the first trailer made it seem like it was just a road trip film with two about two teenage elf brothers (Chris Pratt and Tom Holland) in their teens. But now there is a new twist …  the two brothers are actually on a quest to restore their long-dead father’s spirit so they can spend one last day with him. And after summoning their dead dad, they only get as far as turning him into a walking pair of pants. Hilarity ensues.

I do love me some Pixar, but still haven’t seen Coco or Toy Story 4 yet. But I’ll get around to it one of these days. Same goes for this one. But this does look better than I first thought. So fingers crossed it’s a good one.

Plot Synopsis:

Set in a magical world populated with elves, trolls, mermaids, centaurs, fauns, satyrs, gnomes, sprites, goblins and all other mystical creatures. This world, however, where fairy tale was once the reality, is losing its sense of magic. Its inhabitants use machines such as mobile phones and cars instead of magic. Two teenage elf brothers, Ian and Barley Lightfoot, embark on a quest to discover if there is still magic in the world in order to spend one day with their father, who died when they were too young to remember him.

Onward puts its spell on theaters March 6, 2020.
