Sony Announces ‘Venom 3’ & ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ Sequels

Sony Pictures announced during its CinemaCon presentation on Monday that is developing sequels to Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Ghostbusters: Afterlife.

No other details were provided beyond that. Afterlife ended with Winston Zeddemore (Ernie Hudson) funding a new team of Ghostbusters headquartered back in New York City, so I imagine the sequel where pick up on that story thread. Venom ended with Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) and Venom being transported to the Marvel Cinematic Universe because of the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. They later returned to their main universe in No Way Home‘s mid-credits scene.

I’m all for more Ghostbusters and could care less about another Venom film. Seriously, who is paying good money to see those films? Please stop. You’re the reason we got Morbius.
