‘The Crown’ Season 4 Trailer: Margaret Thatcher and Princess Diana Enter the Fold

Netflix has released a teaser for the fourth season of The Crown. The upcoming season will introduce two British icons: Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and Princess Diana.

I still haven’t watched the third season of The Crown, but it looks like I’m going to have to catch up fast. The show has finally caught up to some of the most memorable times in the Queen’s life, specifically her son Prince Charles’ marriage to Lady Diana Spencer. The fourth season looks like it will cover their wedding and the immediate aftermath. We know Elizabeth Debicki will play Diana in season 5, so it looks like she’s being set up for a major role for the rest of the series. I’m looking forward to seeing how newcomer Emma Corrin does in the role.

Plot Synopsis:

The fourth season introduces Lady Diana Spencer and is set during Margaret Thatcher’s premiership, and will introduce Prince William and Prince Harry. Events depicted include the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer, their 1983 tour of Australia and New Zealand, the Falklands War, Michael Fagan’s break-in at Buckingham Palace, the Princess of Wales’s appearance at the Barnardo’s Champion Children Awards and her 1989 flight on Concorde.

The Crown season 4 begins streaming November 15, 2020 on Netflix.
