‘The Hunt’ is Back On in New Trailer

Universal Pictures and Blumhouse have just released a new trailer for The Hunt trailer after pulling it before hitting theaters last September.

The film was the subject of criticism from the President, in the wake of the controversy from the Dayton and El Paso mass shooting. Universal ultimately cancelled the release, pulling it from their calendar. Now the film is back and ready to go. The studio believes that the media coverage surrounding the film was blown out of proportion and that now is the time to reintroduce the film to moviegoers.

“This is not a dangerous movie. This is not a provocative movie. This is not a divisive movie.” – Damon Lindelof.

The film, directed by Craig Zobel (Z for Zachariah) stars Betty Gilpin (G.L.O.W.), Isaac Barinholtz (Blockers), Ethan Suplee (Mallrats), two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank (Million Dolar Baby) and Sturgill Simpson as Kid Rock.

Plot Synopsis:

Loosely based on the 1924 short story The Most Dangerous Game, by Richard Connell, the film follows 12 strangers who mysteriously wake up in a clearing. They do not know where they are or how they got there. They discover that they have been chosen to be hunted in a game devised by a group of people from the rich elite. The hunters gather in a remote facility called the Manor House, but their sport gets derailed when one of the hunted, Crystal (Betty Gilpin), fights back and starts killing them one by one.

The Hunt pits the elites vs the deplorables March 13, 2020.
