Movie: I, Madman (1989)

“Beautiful bookseller Virginia fosters a growing interest in the works of reclusive novelist Malcolm Brand . After much fruitless searching, Virginia finally receives a package containing Brand’s recent book, “I, Madman,” about a deranged doctor spurned by a beautiful woman. But, as Virginia devours Brand’s latest offering, she begins to have chilling visions of characters from the book — and the line between fiction and reality grows terrifyingly thin.”

How To Watch This Film: DVD/Blu-ray, Netflix, HBO GO, Tubi, iTunes, Amazon, YouTube (that’s the best place to look *wink wink*), or however you can muster it

MOVIES AND SHOWS WATCHED THIS WEEK

Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021) – Honestly better on my second viewing. I think I just wasn’t settled in enough the first time and got distracted easily. The bus sequence is the worst part because it went on too long if you ask me. 4/5

Black Widow (2021) – Again, another one that was better on second viewing. Pretty much I’m just gearing myself up to watch Eternals this weekend. Taskmaster was wasted and cut maybe 20/25 min out of this one and it’s a solid flick. 3.75/5

The Way Back (2019) – Gavin O’Conner and Ben Affleck got kinda screwed on this one since it was released RIGHT at the beginning of the pandemic. Affleck is great in it and the movie looks great. It’s crazy to know he got out of rehab himself and then made this right away. 4/5
