What Horror Movie Have You Watched The Most?

Our mission at SAW is to foster conversations about this thing we all love (or love to hate): film/TV. Many of our features are designed with you in mind. Your opinions, to be more to the point. You have ’em. We want to hear ’em.

Question of the Day (QOTD) is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a film/TV-related question that we put to you, the reader. The comments section below is like the feedback box at work; except, in this example, we actually read what you write and care about what you have to say.

Horror is my favorite genre. I grew up watching horror and have seen all kinds of horror movies. Whether or not you are a fan of the genre, you usually have a few that appeal to you and are usually your go-to horror movie to watch when you need a good scare or want a little bit of gore in your life. We could all use a little bit more gore in our life nowadays I feel…Anywho, I want to know what is the horror movie you return to most often and why. Is it a yearly Halloween watch? Does it hold a special meaning to you?

So the question I ask today is: What horror movie have you watched the most?

With horror being my favorite, I have several movies that I return to often. The Friday the 13th series is something I usually watch all the way through every so often with parts 4, 6, and X being ones I watch regularly. Sinister and Cabin in the Woods are some of my favorite movies to share with people who don’t love horror so I have watched them several times. Hereditary is working its way up there even though it’s only been around for a little while. The Shining, Silence of the Lambs, The Thing, The Devil’s Rejects are all contenders but at the end of the day, there is one I have rewatched almost yearly on July 3rd and usually a time or two in between. And that is The Return of the Living Dead from 1984. There is so much I love about this movie. It’s my favorite zombie film, it’s fun as hell and has one of my favorite characters of all-time in Trash. The zombies are smart and has a lot of great gore with a kick-ass soundtrack. I just love this damn film so much that it’s like comfort food to my soul.

So what about you, folks? What horror movie have you watched the most?

I’ll see you in the trenches.
