Question of the Day (QOTD) is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a film/TV-related question that we put to you, the reader. The comments section below is like the feedback box at work; except, in this example, we actually read what you write and care about what you have to say.
Movies hit us all differently. A horror film might be a laugh-a-minute for some folks. Likewise, a comedy might be hysterical for some and cringe-inducing for others. Everyone has a different reaction to what is playing in front of them. It’s one of the things that makes humans interesting. You never know when something on screen might hit you where it hurts. Sometimes, we watch films that we might not be ready for and a scene or two will make us scared, traumatized, or question the very existence of life itself.
So the question I ask today is: what movie scene did you see WAY too young?
Personally, I’m drawing a blank, but I remember watching E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial as a kid and the parents having to turn it off because my brother was scared of E.T. So yeah, I guess he was too young for that. Never did see E.T. all the way through until I was an adult. To this day I still don’t know what scene specifically bothered my brother so much, but I’m wagering it was when E.T. is cold and lifeless on the river shore. He does look pretty scary then.
