2023 Oscar Winners: ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ Takes Home Best Picture, Best Director & More

Reading Time: 4 minutes

The 95th Academy Awards ceremony, honoring films released in 2022, was held on Sunday, March 12, with Jimmy Kimmel serving as host for the evening.

The ceremony was actually pretty uneventful (I’m told), with everyone winning what they were supposed to. I guess the biggest shock of the night was Angela Bassett not winning Best Supporting Actress. Whatever happened to Wakanda Forever, Hollywood?

Everything Everywhere All at Once absolutely dominated the evening, winning in 7 of its 11 nominated categories. All Quiet on the Western Front also put on quite a show with four wins while The Whale (of all films) managed to walk away with two wins (the Brenaissance continues, baby!).

Oh, and The Banshees of InisherinElvis, and a couple of other high-profile films were completely shut out. Shocking? I’ll leave that for you to decide down in the comments.
