Lifetime Achievement Award Recipients

As well, John Williams, Kurt Russell, and Mark Rylance were this year’s recipients of the SAW Lifetime Achievement Award.

Williams was recognized for his seven-decade career as a composer and conductor in television and film. Russell was recognized for his body of work, which includes lead roles in several classics like The Thing and Escape from New York. Finally, Rylance was recognized for his supporting roles in numerous critically-acclaimed films like Bridge of Spies, Dunkirk, and The Trial of the Chicago 7.


Everything Everywhere All at Once absolutely dominated at this year’s SAWards, winning in 8 of the 11 categories the film was nominated in. The Batman managed to snag three awards while Puss in Boots: The Last Wish took home two awards including Best Adapted Screenplay. Avatar: The Way of Water, Black Panther: Wakanda ForeverBodies Bodies Bodies, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, and The Whale were the only other films to score this year, winning one category apiece.
