A24 has now revealed its plans for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre on the big screen.
More than two months after locking down JT Mollner for a Texas Chainsaw Massacre TV series, A24 has tapped Curry Barker to direct and write a reimagined version of the iconic 1974 horror film.
Barker is best known for his 2025 supernatural horror film Obsession. It’s about a young couple’s relationship gone seriously toxic after one of them makes a wish to be loved by the other more.
Producers on the Texas Chainsaw Massacre film include Roy Lee and Steven Schneider of Spooky Pictures, and Stuart Manashil and Exurbia Films’ Pat Cassidy, Ian Henkel, and Kim Henkel. Ben Ross of Image Nation will executive produce.
