Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Call of Duty’ Movie Gets 2028 Release Date | Paramount at CinemaCon

Paramount is moving ahead with its Call of Duty movie.

Per Variety, Paramount announced during its CinemaCon presentation today that the long-awaited film adaptation of the popular video game series will hit theaters on June 30, 2028. Pete Berg will direct from a script by Taylor Sheridan (yes, that Taylor Sheridan).

“Taylor and I are both deeply connected to the special ops community,” Berg said in a video message. The director, whose credits include Lone SurvivorDeepwater Horizon, and Hancock, went on to state that he and Sheridan are prioritizing authenticity among the group of elite soldiers “on a human level, but also bring amazing scale.”

Plot details and cast for the Call of Duty film haven’t been revealed, but the game is a first-person shooter military series with several fan-favorite characters.
