Down the Tubes: ‘Bio Cop’ Fake Trailer is the Love Child of Adult Swim and Troma

Feeling like the insane love child of Adult Swim and Troma, Bio Cop is a fake trailer about a cop who’s slowly melting due to some radiation burn (or some such nonsense) and because of this, he becomes an unkillable super cop. With a death wish that can’t be fulfilled and a seemingly invulnerable body, Bio Cop continuously throws himself into dangerous scenarios to increasingly hilarious effect.

Made by the Canadian collective known as Astron 6, the short is another in a long line of crazy projects by the group. They’ve also made a short for the horror anthology ABC’s of Death 2 and are responsible for the outrageous slasher Father’s Day, the out-of-control giallo homage The Editor and the insanely no budget Sci-fi action flick Manborg. The team may no longer be together but their brand of over-the-top lunacy lives on forever.

What did you think about Bio Cop? Are you a fan of fake trailers? And if so, what are some of your favorites?
