I don’t want to say too much about this video A) because it’s hard to describe and B) because you should just experience it without a bunch of expectations. It does involve samurai and it is made with stop motion animation. And it’s just so imaginative and well done. Excluding the credits at the end, it’s about 4 minutes long. Also, you’ll want to toggle the closed captions, because the video is in Japanese.

What did you think about Hidari? Personally, I would have preferred they had stuck with manually operated tools and left off the chainsaw, but that is a nitpick. Otherwise, I think this is a beautifully realized short film. Let us know your thoughts below.
