Netflix Will Launch Its Ad-Supported Tier in November

Netflix has announced when it will roll out its advertising-supported tier in select countries.

The streaming company has reported that its new subscription tier, Basic with Ads, will cost $6.99/month and will launch on November 3, 2022 in the United States, Australia, Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, and the UK. Canada and Mexico will actually get the new tier two days earlier on November 1, 2022 while Spain gets it on November 10, 2022. In the U.S., the ad-supported tier will save potential subscribers a lot of money. Netflix’s most popular tier, Standard, currently costs $15.49/month.

Here’s what we know about Basic with Ads:

Disney+ is also rolling out an ad-supported tier before the end of the year. That plan launches on December 8, 2022 and will cost $7.99/month. Yes, that is the current cost for the ad-free version of Disney+ right now. The ad-free plan is about to get a price hike on Dec. 8, jumping to $10.99/month. These streaming services are getting fucking expensive.
