Genddy Tartakovosky, the mastermind behind such series as Dexter’s Laboratory and Samurai Jack, is developing a new animated series for Adult Swim.
Plot Synopsis (via Deadline):
Primal features a caveman at the dawn of evolution. A dinosaur on the brink of extinction. Bonded by tragedy, this unlikely friendship becomes the only hope of survival in a violent, primordial world.
In addition to his television contributions, Genndy recently wrote and directed all three Hotel Transylvania flicks. As someone who felt that he was lost on those films — and robbed of his Popeye movie — this looks like a major creative upgrade. The preview is gorgeous.
Primal is set to premiere this Fall.
