‘The Tomorrow War’ Teaser: Chris Pratt Fights to Save His Future

Prime Video has released an official first look teaser for The Tomorrow War, starring Chris Pratt.

I’ll see this, but I sort of wish it had followed its original premise of picking warriors and fighters from throughout the ages. I definitely feel like the idea was to assemble soldiers from across every major war in the world to create an unpredictable army to combat the aliens. Maybe that’s just what I assumed the film was going to be about, but just handpicking people from 2021 to fight a war against aliens thirty years later seems kind of dumb.

Plot Synopsis:

In The Tomorrow War, the world is stunned when a group of time travelers arrive from the year 2051 to deliver an urgent message: Thirty years in the future mankind is losing a global war against a deadly alien species. The only hope for survival is for soldiers and civilians from the present to be transported to the future and join the fight. Among those recruited is high school teacher and family man Dan Forester (Chris Pratt). Determined to save the world for his young daughter, Dan teams up with a brilliant scientist (Yvonne Strahovski) and his estranged father (J.K. Simmons) in a desperate quest to rewrite the fate of the planet.

The Tomorrow War begins streaming July 2, 2021 on Prime Video.
