‘The Tomorrow War’ Trailer: Chris Pratt is Desperate to Rewrite Earth’s Fate

Prime Video has released an official trailer for The Tomorrow War. Let’s take a look at the streaming service’s next big exclusive film.

It looks okay. I think this is essentially going to be the poor man’s version of Edge of Tomorrow. Chris Pratt is no Tom Cruise, but he’s a likeable enough individual.

That said, I do wish that Pratt would start branching out into different movies where he doesn’t just play a variation of the same character. His Tomorrow War character looks like he could be the twin brother of Owen Grady from Jurassic World.

Also, I see J.K. Simmons is in this, so that’s another good reason to watch. I’ll watch that man in anything. He’s perfect in any role and that’s all I’ll say about that.

Plot Synopsis:

In The Tomorrow War, the world is stunned when a group of time travelers arrive from the year 2051 to deliver an urgent message: Thirty years in the future mankind is losing a global war against a deadly alien species. The only hope for survival is for soldiers and civilians from the present to be transported to the future and join the fight. Among those recruited is high school teacher and family man Dan Forester (Chris Pratt). Determined to save the world for his young daughter, Dan teams up with a brilliant scientist (Yvonne Strahovski) and his estranged father (J.K. Simmons) in a desperate quest to rewrite the fate of the planet.

The Tomorrow War begins streaming July 2, 2021 on Prime Video.
