MOVIES WATCHED THIS WEEK
Last and First Men (2020) – The late composer Jóhann Jóhannsson directed and scored this artsy black and white film based on the 1930 novel by British author Olaf Stapledon. Narrated by the great Tilda Swinton, it tells the story from two billion years in the future, where humanity finds itself on the verge of extinction. Almost all that is left in the world are lone and surreal monuments, beaming their message into the wilderness. It’s pretty too look at and has a cool score to accompany it. 3.75/5
