Will Poulter Claims He’s “Too Old Now” for ‘We’re the Millers 2’

Will Poulter isn’t sure a sequel to the 2013 comedy film We’re the Millers is possible anymore.

Speaking with People at SXSW, where his new movie Death of a Unicorn premiered, Poulter addressed the chances of reuniting with Jason Sudeikis, Emma Roberts, and Jennifer Aniston for a We’re the Millers 2.

“Like We’re Still the Millers? There was, I think. I don’t think it’s gonna happen,” he said. “I mean, no one else is [but] I’m too old now. But, yeah, it was a fun time.”

Poulter was 19 when he filmed We’re the Millers and is now 32. A sequel to the 2013 comedy was in development at one point, but never made it out of development hell. Despite being over a decade removed from We’re the Millers, Poulter is still amazed when he is recognized for Kenny, the teen who was recruited by Sudeikis’ character to help smuggle drugs across the border.

“People are really nice about the movie,” Poulter said. “I’m always shocked at just how many people have seen the film. It’s really nice that people watch it and seem to enjoy it. I was certainly very lucky to be in it.”

We’re the Millers is currently streaming in the U.S. on Fubo.
