A Quiet Place 3 is still on the way.

Speaking with The Direct at SXSW, A Quiet Place franchise producer Brad Fuller offered an update on the horror threequel after it was removed from Paramount‘s release calendar last year.

“So, Day One is not A Quiet Place 3, just to be clear,” Fuller disclosed “A Quiet Place 3, we’re starting to put it together right now. You know, when we made the first one, John [Krasinski] didn’t have a lot on his plate. He had just come off The Office, and he wanted to be a director.”

However, following the success of A Quiet Place, John Krasinski became “so in-demand” that he’s partially to blame for A Quiet Place 3‘s delay. “Now, he’s so in demand, and it’s hard to get him… He’s making a movie now, so as soon as he finishes that, hopefully, he will turn his attention to [A Quiet Place 3]. We all want to finish that trilogy, and I’m hopeful there’s even more Quiet Place movies beyond that,” Fuller added.

The first Quiet Place movie was released in 2018, following the Abbott family as they try to survive in a post-apocalyptic world inhabited by blind aliens with an acute sense of hearing. Krasinski directed and starred in the first movie as well as its 2021 sequel, A Quiet Place Part II. The first two movies also featured Emily Blunt and Millicent Simmonds. A third Quiet Place movie was announced in 2022. The franchise’s first spinoff, A Quiet Place: Day One, was released last year, where it grossed over $260 million.
