The cast of Avengers: Doomsday has been revealed.
After five-and-a-half hours, Marvel Studios‘ live broadcast on X has ended. The lengthy video, which at one point had over 8 million people tuning in, slowly announced who would be starring in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, with a new actor getting unveiled every 15 or so minutes. Marvel has since released a nice 103-second version revealing the 27 actors who will be the major players in Doomsday.

The casting announcement concluded with Downey, who will make his MCU return in Doomsday, albeit as Doctor Doom instead of Iron Man. As confirmed earlier on the official X account for the Avengers franchise, Doomsday is now in production. Joe and Anthony Russo are directing the crossover movie. Doomsday will be the Russo Brothers’ fifth MCU movie, after Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019).
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to hit theaters on May 1, 2026.
