REMINDER: Tarantino movie rankings are due on Friday, March 20. Send ’em in!
It’s a question that has caused cinema fans to lose countless hours debating: What is the best and worst of any given film franchise?
ScreenAge Wasteland aims to find common ground by asking its community to participate in a collaborative ranking of every movie directed by Quentin Tarantino. Ideally, we’d have waited until after his tenth and final film had been released, but since that doesn’t seem to be coming anytime soon, we’re just moving forward without it.
The nine (okay, 10, thanks Kill Bill) eligible movies are Reservoir Dogs (1992), Pulp Fiction (1994), Jackie Brown (1997), Kill Bill: Volume 1 (2003), Kill Bill: Volume 2 (2004), Death Proof (2007), Inglourious Basterds (2009), Django Unchained (2012), The Hateful Eight (2015), and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019).
How to Participate
Submit your ranking of the 10 Tarantino films to info.screenagewasteland@gmail.com or in the comments of this post by Friday, March 20.
All you have to do is order the movies you’ve seen from best to worst. Also, include a sentence or two (no longer than a paragraph please) for each movie (your favorite part, why it is great/terrible, etc).
Here’s an example of what a response might look like for Pixar’s A Bug’s Life:
- Surely most people put this at the bottom of their list? For all I know A Bug’s Life is much better than I remember, but I think it was forever cursed as being “not as good as Toy Story.” I sure as hell know it is better than Antz though.
NOTE: You can participate as long as you have seen at least six of the films. DO NOT rank films you have not viewed. The scores will be adjusted depending on how many films are on your ranking.
Once the deadline has passed, we’ll tally up the various rankings, cherrypick the best responses for each film, and put together a massive collab ranking to release next month!

Thanks in advance to everyone who participates. You deserve all the bare feet to feast your eyes upon.
