The leads of the original I Know What You Did Last Summer.

The upcoming I Know What You Did Last Summer movie is copying yet another page from the legacy horror sequel playbook. The next installment in the slasher franchise has been officially (and simply) titled I Know What You Did Last Summer.

Horror fans are no strangers to legacy sequels “borrowing” the title of the original installment. Halloween did in 2018 and Scream followed suit in 2022. With I Know What You Did Last Summer also set to bring back original cast members in supporting roles while otherwise featuring a new young (and hot) cast, the movie is definitely copying Scream‘s homework.

I Know What You Did Last Summer Synopsis

As one by one the friends are stalked by a killer, they discover this has happened before, and they turn to two survivors of the legendary Southport Massacre of 1997 for help.”
