Jurassic World 4 has been officially titled Jurassic World: Rebirth.
The official X account for the Jurassic World franchise was behind the title reveal. The account also shared two official images from the upcoming Universal Pictures movie, which is the seventh installment overall in the Jurassic film series. The first features Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey, while the second shows a terrified Mahershala Ali. Check them out below.
A synopsis has also been revealed for the sequel, which reads, “Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived. The three most colossal creatures within that tropical biosphere hold the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind.” David Koepp, who previously scripted Jurassic Park (1993) and The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997), wrote the screenplay.
Johansson will play a “skilled covert operations expert Zora Bennett, contracted to lead a skilled team on a top-secret mission to secure genetic material from the world’s three most massive dinosaurs. When Zora’s operation intersects with a civilian family whose boating expedition was capsized by marauding aquatic dinos, they all find themselves stranded on an island where they come face-to-face with a sinister, shocking discovery that’s been hidden from the world for decades.”
Other character names released include Dr. Henry Loomis (Bailey), a paleontologist; Duncan Kincaid (Ali), Bennett’s most trusted team leader; Martin Krebs (Rupert Friend), a pharmaceutical representative; and Reuben Delgado (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), the father of a shipwrecked civilian family. Cast members whose character names haven’t been disclosed at this time include Luna Blaise, David Iacono, Audrina Miranda, Philippine Velge, Ed Skrein, and Béchir Sylvain, although Blaise, Iacono, and Miranda are playing Delgado’s children.
Directed by Gareth Edwards, Jurassic World: Rebirth is scheduled to hit theaters on July 2, 2025.
