Round Two Round Up
Tarantino Region:
No real upsets here, and I see the #1 Seed Pulp Fiction continuing to roll as it will most likely surf past its opponent in Point Break. However, the other matchup pits two of the greatest movies of all time against each other in The Silence of the Lambs vs Fargo.
Spielberg Region:
One of our first upsets as Seven beats a favorite to make the Final Four in Saving Private Ryan. Seven’s reward for winning is going up against another heavy favorite, Terminator 2. The other matchup has an upset in the making written all over it as Heat might take out Schindler’s List.
Scorsese Region:
#1 seed Goodfellas rolls right into one of the biggest matchups in the whole tournament as it faces off against Jurassic Park. Tony Scott’s True Romance moves on to the Sweet Sixteen, taking down The Dude as it squares off against The Shawshank Redemption to see who will make the Elite Eight.
Wachowski Region:
Reservoir Dogs vs Fight Club was an intense battle as them colorful robbers take down the bro dudes by just a couple of votes. Their next matchup is against a favorite to win the whole thing in #1 seed The Matrix. Will The Sixth Sense see dead toys, or will Toy Story continue to roll into the Elite Eight?
