Sorry, Ocean’s 8, but Danny Ocean is not as dead as you made him out to be.
George Clooney has just confirmed to E! News (via Variety) that Ocean’s 14 has had its “budget approved at Warner Bros. and we’re trying to set up [a production start date]. It’s just scheduling, so it’s just setting a start date for us. Probably start in about nine or 10 months, shooting,” he shared.
The Danny Ocean actor also revealed who from the previous Ocean’s trilogy will be joining him in Ocean’s 14. “Yeah, Brad [Pitt], Matt [Damon] and Don [Cheadle] and Julia [Roberts]. I had dinner last night with Julia. They’re all still really dear friends. And so, the chance to work together would be fun,” he added.
David Leitch is attached to direct Ocean’s 14, succeeding Steven Soderbergh, who helmed the previous trilogy, and Gary Ross, who was behind the spinoff sequel Ocean’s 8. Leitch previously worked with Pitt on Bullet Train. Ocean’s 14 is separate from the Ocean’s prequel that Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling are set to star in and that will be directed by Lee Isaac Chung.
We’ll keep you posted as additional details about Ocean’s 14 are revealed.
