What Video Game Should Sydney Sweeney Actually Turn Into a Movie?

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Our mission at SAW is to foster conversations about this thing we all love (or love to hate): film/TV. Many of our features are designed with you in mind. Your opinions, to be more to the point. You have ’em. We want to hear ’em.

Question of the Day (QOTD) is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a film/TV-related question that we put to you, the reader. The comments section below is like the feedback box at work; except, in this example, we actually read what you write and care about what you have to say.

In the last week, actor Sydney Sweeney has become attached to two different video game adaptations. At Universal, via Variety, she is set to star in OutRun, a feature-length take on Sega’s 1986 arcade driving adventure game that Michael Bay has tapped to direct. Variety also reported that Sweeney will co-lead a Split Fiction movie that is being written by Deadpool & Wolverine screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Jon M. Chu is on board to direct the adaptation of the 2025 video game.

Now, those sound like fine movies for the video games’ respective fan bases, but there are hundreds of classic video games begging for someone like Sweeney to get behind their film adaptations. So, the question I ask today is: what video game movie do you actually want to see Sydney Sweeney star in?

I’ll see you in the trenches.
