No time to rest for Robert Eggers. The filmmaker has announced his next movie, and it’s already got a release date.
Per Deadline, Eggers is reteaming with Focus Features for the new genre movie Werewulf. This news comes after their latest partnership, Nosferatu, became the studio’s second highest-grossing movie domestically with $90.5 million.
Eggers will direct the horror movie from a screenplay he co-wrote with The Northman‘s Sjón. A Christmas Day 2026 release has been set in North America for the movie by Focus Features, who is producing and financing. Both Eggers and Sjón will produce alongside Focus Features, with Maiden Voyage’s Chris and Eleanor Columbus executive producing.
