Ryan Gosling still wants to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

During a recent appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Gosling confirmed that he has spoken with Marvel Studios about potentially playing Ghost Rider in the shared universe.

“We’ll keep hope alive,” said Gosling. “Some discussions have been had. It’s a complicated situation.”

This isn’t the first time that Gosling has expressed interest in playing Ghost Rider. He first voiced his desire to be the MCU’s Spirit of Vengeance back in 2022. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige even responded back then, stating that “if Ryan wants to be Ghost Rider … Gosling’s unbelievable. Ryan is amazing… I’d love to find a place for him in the MCU.”

Gosling is currently earning some of the best reviews of his life for his performance in Amazon MGM Studios’ Project Hail Mary (read our review here). The actor will next journey to a galaxy far, far away with a starring role in Star Wars: Starfighter, which is set to hit theaters on May 28, 2027.
