‘Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow’ Casts Matthias Schoenaerts as DCU Movie’s Villain

Milly Alcock finally has a co-star.

According to Deadline, Matthias Schoenaerts has landed the villain role in the upcoming DC Universe movie, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. Although it hasn’t been disclosed which DC villain he is playing, the upcoming superhero movie is based on the comic book limited series, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, which featured Krem of the Yellow Hills. So, the internet seems to be going out on a limb in deciding that’s probably who Schoenaerts will be playing.

The Belgium native has appeared in several well-known movies, such as Rust and Bone, Amsterdam, Red Sparrow, The Danish Girl, A Bigger Splash, and The Old Guard. His most recent acting credit is in the HBO series, The Regime, opposite Kate Winslet.

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow will be the second movie released under Chapter 1 of the DCU, which is subtitled Gods and Monsters. Craig Gillespie is directing from a screenplay written by Ana Nogueira. Production is slated to kick off in January 2025 in the UK. A June 26, 2026 theatrical release date has been set by Warner Bros. and DC Studios for the movie.
