Which Horror Film Series Should Head to Television Next?

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Our mission at SAW is to foster conversations about this thing we all love (or love to hate): film/TV. Many of our features are designed with you in mind. Your opinions, to be more to the point. You have ’em. We want to hear ’em.

Question of the Day (QOTD) is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a film/TV-related question that we put to you, the reader. The comments section below is like the feedback box at work; except, in this example, we actually read what you write and care about what you have to say.

In the last few years, several horror franchises that got their start on the big screen have transitioned to the small, such as Psycho, Chucky, and Creep. With A24 developing a Friday the 13th prequel series titled Crystal Lake and Miramax toying with bringing Halloween to TV, which horror franchise should be the next to head to the small screen?

I mean, I just said the question, but here it is again: which horror franchise should head to the small screen next?

I’m going to go with A Quiet Place. Imagine an anthology series where each episode features a different group of characters in a different location going up against those aliens (which Sailor recently informed me are officially known as “Death Angels” for some reason). Sometimes the characters die at the end, and sometimes they live. You can keep the audience guessing each week about their fates. I’d certainly tune in.

So what about you, screenagers? Which horror franchise should get a TV series next and do you have a pitch for such a show?

I’ll see you in the trenches.
