Which Is the Best ‘Friday the 13th’ Movie?

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Our mission at SAW is to foster conversations about this thing we all love (or love to hate): film/TV. Many of our features are designed with you in mind. Your opinions, to be more to the point. You have ’em. We want to hear ’em.

Question of the Day (QOTD) is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a film/TV-related question that we put to you, the reader. The comments section below is like the feedback box at work; except, in this example, we actually read what you write and care about what you have to say.

I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a horror franchise fandom that is more divided than Friday the 13th. There are at least 3 or 4 movies that have been labeled “the best one” depending on which fan you ask. You don’t get that with Halloween or A Nightmare on Elm Street. Usually, everyone agrees that the original is the best for those two franchises.

So, the question I ask today is: which Friday the 13th movie is the best installment in the series?

Look, I’m a big fan of A New Beginning, but I’m not going to call that the best one. Honestly, the 2009 remake slaps and I’d have loved to have seen a sequel to it.

So what about you, screenagers? Which Friday the 13th is the best one and what makes you so sure?

I’ll see you in the trenches.
