Our mission at SAW is to foster conversations about this thing we all love (or love to hate): film/TV. Many of our features are designed with you in mind. Your opinions, to be more to the point. You have ’em. We want to hear ’em.
Question of the Day (QOTD) is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a film/TV-related question that we put to you, the reader. The comments section below is like the feedback box at work; except, in this example, we actually read what you write and care about what you have to say.
Like any genre, dozens and dozens of superhero movies never see the light of day, either getting canceled, shelved, or reworked before going into production. Heck, Warner Bros. even scrapped Batgirl after it had already been filmed.
So, the question I ask today is: what unmade comic book/superhero movie are you most disappointed never happened?
My original answer for this was Edgar Wright’s version of the 2015 Ant-Man movie. However, that was before I stumbled across this article about an Ant-Man movie that almost happened in the late ’80s, and, as a self-proclaimed ’80s guy, I would have loved to have seen another Marvel movie released that decade that wasn’t Howard the Duck (not even Lea Thompson could save that flop).
So what about you, screenagers? Got any unmade comic book movies you wish would have actually made it across the finish line?
I’ll see you in the trenches.
