Last night, Jimmy Kimmel hosted the virtual-ish 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards. If you watched it, you watched it, and if you didn’t well samesies. What does matter is who took home the trophies, and who, like Ramy Youssef, watched their potential trophy wave and walk away.

Canadian sitcom Schitt’s Creek became the first comedy series to win all of the four main acting categories in a single year, as well as the first comedy or drama series to win all seven major awards in a single year. Combined with its Creative Arts Emmys, the show became the most-awarded comedy in a single year. If that didn’t once again prove that Canada delivers Hollywood the best, Schitt’s Creek‘s Dan Levy also became the first person to win an award in all four major disciplines in a single year.
In drama news, Succession and Watchmen each won four awards. So it was a good night for HBO and PopTV‘s Schitt’s Creek.
What did you think of the 2020 Emmys? Was it a tad too ridiculous for you? Who do you think should have won instead? Let us know down in the comments!
