After a long and much anticipated wait for fans of the Firefly Family, Rob Zombie has released the teaser trailer for 3 From Hell. The highly awaited (for horror fiends) sequel to his directorial debut, House of 1,000 Corpses, and its followup, The Devil’s Rejects.
Well after being shot hundreds of times, the gang is all here with returning Rejects, Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig), Otis (Bill Moseley), and Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie), reprising their roles.
The 50 second teaser don’t offer up much after a short recap of the mayhem caused in previous entries, but we do get a good look at the Firefly crew with apparent back up in Richard Blake (31). Otis offers up a fun one liner and Baby, well, is being wacky Baby per usual.
I absolutely love The Devil’s Rejects and think it’s one of the best horror movies of the past 20 years. It’s a demented and twisted grindhouse flick that is about family. I don’t know how Zombie can follow his masterpiece or how he plans to resurrect the Firefly clan, but this movie already has my money.
The cast also includes Danny Trejo, Kevin Jackson, Wade Williams, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Clint Howard, Pancho Moler, Emilio Rivera, Daniel Roebuck, David Ury, Sean Whalen, Austin Stoker, Dee Wallace, Bill Oberst Jr., Richard Riehle, Dot-Marie Jones and Tom Papa.
What’s is even more intriguing is the apparent cameos from Barry Bostwick and Chaz Bono.
3 from Hell has been rated “R” for “strong sadistic violence, language throughout, sexual content, graphic nudity, and drug use.” The teaser promises a Fall 2019 release.
