Hercule Poirot Returns in First ‘A Haunting in Venice’ Trailer

20th Century Studios has released an official teaser trailer for A Haunting in Venice, an upcoming and unsettling supernatural thriller based on the novel Hallowe’en Party by Agatha Christie. Let’s take a look.

I love a good Hercule Poirot mystery, so I’m quite happy that 20th Century Studios has decided to continue making these films despite Death on the Nile underperforming at the box office.

Kenneth Branagh returns as both director and famed detective Hercule Poirot in A Haunting in Venice acting opposite an ensemble that includes Kyle Allen, Camille Cottin, Jamie Dornan, Tina Fey, Jude Hill, Ali Khan, Emma Laird, Kelly Reilly, Riccardo Scamarcio, and Michelle Yeoh.

Plot Synopsis:

Set in eerie, post-World War II Venice on All Hallows’ Eve, A Haunting in Venice is a terrifying mystery featuring the return of the celebrated sleuth, Hercule Poirot. Now retired and living in self-imposed exile in the world’s most glamorous city, Poirot reluctantly attends a séance at a decaying, haunted palazzo. When one of the guests is murdered, the detective is thrust into a sinister world of shadows and secrets.

A Haunting in Venice opens in theaters on September 15, 2023.
