Ali Wong and Randall Park Reconnect in ‘Always Be My Maybe’ Trailer

Continuing their dominance over the rom-com genre, Netflix has released the official trailer for their newest romantic comedy, Always Be My Maybe.

The film stars Ali Wong as Sasha, a chef who has recently been dumped by her self absorbed fiancé and returns to her hometown of San Francisco to open a new restaurant. She reconnects with her childhood best friend Marcus (Randall Park) and naturally sparks fly. But before Marcus can reveal his feelings for her, Sasha meets a sexy new man played by Keanu Reeves.

Directed by Nahnatchka Khan and co-written by Wong, Park and Michael Galamco, Always Be My Maybe certainly looks promising. While Netflix has been inconsistent with the quality of their romantic comedies, it looks like Always Be My Maybe could be the perfect palate cleanser after the disappointments of The Perfect Date and The Last Summer.

Plot Synopsis:

Reunited after 15 years, famous chef Sasha and hometown musician Marcus feel the old sparks of attraction but struggle to adapt to each other’s worlds.

Always Be My Maybe streams May 31, 2019.
