Amy Schumer, Regina Hall, & Wanda Sykes Will Host the 2022 Oscars

Amy Schumer, Regina Hall, and Wanda Sykes will host the 94th Academy Awards next month.

The news was announced today on Good Morning America. In a joint press release, Hall, Schumer, and Sykes said:

“We want people to get ready to have a good time.  It’s been a while.”

Schumer added:

“I’m not sure who thought this was a good idea, but I am hosting the Oscars, along with my good friend Wanda Sykes and Regina Hall. I better go watch some movies.”

I agree with you Schumer, who did think it was a good idea to have you host? What was wrong with just Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes? I mean, this is such an odd trio, especially when the perfect trio (Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez) were right there.

Also, Variety mentions Jon Hamm was in talks at one point, so I don’t know who was putting together a list of hosts, but 75% of these people haven’t been relevant in a minute or two. Honestly, Regina Hall should have just been the sole host. She seems to be the only actor listed so far that’s continuing to rise.

The 94th Academy Awards is scheduled to take place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on March 27, 2022.

What do you think of the trio of hosts? Will they get you to tune in?
