‘Black Beauty’ Trailer: The Modern Day Reimagining Comes to Disney+

Disney+ has released an official trailer for Black Beauty, a modern day reimagining of the classic Anna Sewell story.

I never read Sewell’s novel, but apparently this updated adaptation has made some changes to the story. Also, the horse is now female and is voiced by Kate Winslet. That’s sort of cool.

Black Beauty isn’t at the top of my watchlist, but I’ll definitely check it out one day.

Plot Synopsis:

This modern day reimagining of Anna Sewell’s timeless classic, follows Black Beauty (Kate Winslet), a wild horse born free in the American West. Rounded up and taken away from her family, Beauty is brought to Birtwick Stables where she meets a spirited teenage girl, Jo Green (Mackenzie Foy). Beauty and Jo forge an unbreakable bond that carries Beauty through the different chapters, challenges, and adventures of her life.

Black Beauty begins streaming November 27, 2020 on Disney+.
