Netflix has released an official trailer for Blockbuster, an upcoming workplace comedy that was created by Vanessa Ramos (Superstore, Brooklyn Nine-Nine). Let’s take a look.
I hope one day I’ll find someone who loves me as much as Netflix loves (making money off) the Blockbuster brand. After running the beloved brick-and-mortar franchise out of business by popularizing streaming movies instead of renting DVDs, Netflix looks to cash in on the Blockbuster brand again after previously releasing the 2020 documentary film The Last Blockbuster. Funnily enough, like the documentary, Blockbuster will center on the last Blockbuster on Earth, which in real life is in Bend, Oregon.
Melissa Fumero and Randall Park lead Blockbuster, which also stars J.B. Smoove, Olga Merediz, Tyler Alvarez, and Madeleine Arthur.
Plot Synopsis:
All 10 episodes of Blockbuster begin streaming on November 3, 2022 on Netflix.
