Jeremy Allen White is heading to a galaxy far, far away.

The actor, who is currently starring in the FX/Hulu series The Bear, has joined the cast of the upcoming Star Wars movie, The Mandalorian & Grogu. Variety confirmed the casting that was first reported by Jeff Sneider on The Kristian Harloff Show. White will be voicing Jabba the Hutt’s son, Rotta the Hutt. White joins a cast that currently includes Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver. UPDATE: Deadline has just revealed that Jonny Coyne will reprise his role from The Mandalorian as Imperial Warlord in the movie.

The Mandalorian & Grogu won’t be the first time that Star Wars fans meet an extended member of Jabba’s family. Two of his cousins previously appeared in The Book of Boba Fett where they attempted to take over as the crime bosses of Tatooine.

The Mandalorian & Grogu hits theaters on May 22, 2026.

Scream 7 has rounded out its cast, adding Celeste O’Connor (Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire) and Asa Germann (Gen V) to an ensemble that currently includes Neve Campbell and Isabel May. Per Deadline, character details for both actors remain under wraps. Campbell is reprising her role as final girl Sidney Prescott for the first time since Scream (2022), while May is set to portray her teenage daughter.

Kevin Williamson, who created the Scream franchise, will direct from a script by Guy Busick. Scream 7 will be released in theaters worldwide via Paramount Pictures on February 27, 2026.

Lastly, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Teyonah Parris (The Marvels) has joined the cast of Matchbox, an upcoming live-action movie based on the Mattel car toys. Parris’ casting comes a few days after Sam Richardson and Arturo Castro were announced to be joining the movie, which kicks off production in January 2025. John Cena and Jessica Biel are also part of the cast.

Matchbox is described as “an action-packed, globetrotting adventure” centered around “a group of childhood friends who must work together to stop an impending worldwide disaster and rediscover their friendship along the way.” Sam Hargrave (Extraction) will direct the movie for Apple, Skydance, and Mattel, working from a screenplay written by David Coggeshall (The Family Plan) and Jonathan Tropper (The Adam Project).
