Netflix has released an official trailer for Concrete Cowboy, based on the novel Ghetto Cowboy by G. Neri and on the real life Fletcher Street cowboys of Philadelphia.
Why do I feel like that trailer just summarized about 90% of the movie? Like damn, Netflix, save some surprises for us.
I’ll probably check this out because I’m a fan of Idris Elba and Caleb McLaughlin. Otherwise, it sort of looks like a run of the mill coming-of-age tale.
Plot Synopsis:
While spending the summer in North Philadelphia, a troubled teen (Caleb McLaughlin) is caught between a life of crime and his estranged father’s (Idris Elba) vibrant urban-cowboy subculture.
Concrete Cowboy begins streaming April 2, 2021 on Netflix.
